It’s a big world… What can I possibly do to reach 2 billion people?
It’s a great question. First, understand that everyone can do something. Here are four ideas that will get you started:
As Christians, our battles are fought most effectively on our knees. Prayer for those who have never heard the Good News is the foundation of all work that is done to break down barriers, send workers, protect their efforts and bring people into a saving faith in Christ.
“Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work” – A.B. Simpson
We need to take a stand on behalf of the unreached. Tell your friends, family, church, every believer you know. It’s when we stand together that great things happen for the Kingdom of God.
“Some wish to live within the sound of a chapel bell; I wish to run a rescue mission within a yard of hell.” – C.T. Studd
The great hymn says, “Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe.” When we share of our time, talents and resources for the sake of the unreached, we multiply the impact the gospel has around the world.
“The mark of a great church is not its seating capacity, but its sending capacity.” – Mike Stachura
Not everyone is called or equipped to go, but some people are. Ask God if can use you to take His message to those who have never heard. Short-term or long-term, God can use you to make an eternal difference in the lives of others.
“Never pity missionaries; envy them. They are where the real action is – where life and death, sin and grace, Heaven and Hell converge.” – Robert C. Shannon
